mclane's fishing encyclopedia is a must have...although it's old and out of print...it's enormous, and full of info....many illustrations are in color, and there are many diagrams.....the info on the fish irivals that of a college icthyiologist (sp) textbook...you can find copies used on ebay or amazon for usually 20-30 bucks. Shocked

try to get the newest print u can...and hardcover...and only except good quality...these are from 60's-70's, they deteorate if kept in poopy environment.
