Kids and Fishing Empty Kids and Fishing

Post by RedneckAngler Sun Jul 19, 2009 9:36 pm

Went on a family camping trip to Gardner Lake. Learned a lot about young kids fishing on a boat. It's not easy with a 4 and 5 year old, even w/ worms and bobbers. We fed a lot of fish, my son loves to fish and sit on the boat and my daughter just wants to cruise around. A lot of wind made it next to impossible as their lines were all over the place. One bobber would be a foot under while I was baiting the other hook. Too much slack in the line, the list goes on. Daddy has a lot to learn. I don't think I'm going to burn anyones hotspot on this post. Fun weekend though. Kids and Fishing 100_0516

Danny's first bass. Graduated from worms and panfish to shiners and bass. Danny has a bit more patience than his sister. No hesitation, just grabbed the lip!Kids and Fishing First_10

when i take my two boys 5 and three year old's i just use 1 rod and reel. when 1 cathes a fish the other one gets a turn till he catches a fish. other wise i spend the whole time untangling a big mess. not only that but i get fit drinking time in somewhere
