i love this reel...the only downside is it's capacity(not a boat rod)..it's smooth...casts a mile and it's baitfeeder feature is hard to match at it's price...i got mine for under $60 off ebay and i convinced my father to do the same..retail is about 20-25 more...the body is not all metal like it's gold and black cousins, but is real sturdy...the crank and handle seem bulletproof..i havent had any problems with mine, and i do not take care of my reels like rna or heckler...matched with a cork tape 9 or 10 footer, and you have a cannon...but beware...if you throw hard like i do, and use braid//....wear a glove!....their regular non-baitfeeders have new look and a new model #..i expect them to do the same for the baitfeeders...i see a trend in them...they are rehashing proven models with a differernt twist....i will always be loyal to penn...and after i read rna's post about their internationals, i will only be buying their senator and levelwinds, etc for conventional reels. i am glad we are posting away like demons...i will post reviews of all of my gear!

The International issue seems to be with the smaller 965/975. The V series 50's/80's etc. are still the big dawgs of the salt water world.
