Re: charterboats i support
looks like the mijoy to me ,,,here is a bloody blue that is oh so commonly caught on these boats...they taste like crap, but fight real hard.....they are like an oversize piranha with no sense of when it's stomach is full...they hunt in huge packs like hungry wolves ...it is my belief that they destroy a bunch of baitfish while the lazy fat stripers gobble up their scraps just below them

Re: charterboats i support
I use 2 charter guys. The first one is Capt. Chuck DiStefano out of Boston. Chuck is the best hands down.I've witness many times where a boat next to us will be catching nothing and we're killing them, because he knows the right techniques to fish different areas. I do three trips a year(Cod,Stripers,Tuna) with Chuck. I've never had a bad day with Chuck. Here is a link to his sight http://www.bostonsportfishing.com/
The second is Capt. Pete Wagner of Highlands,NJ. My family has been fishing with Pete for over 10 years. Pete is awesome. He loves fishing and it shows. He always seems to put us on fish. I fish 6 times a year(Stripers,Blackfish,Offshore Wrecks and Trolling and 3 trips in Costa Rica) with Pete. The trips with him in Costa Rica are unbelieveable.Below is the link for his sight. If you book with them just tell them Derek told you about them.

Re: charterboats i support
If you want pretty salons with teak and a Williams-Sonoma cappuccino machine in the galley while you cruise the Atlantic, look elsewhere than Capt. Chuck at Boston Sportfishing, but if you want no non-sense, kick-ass hook ups with big gamefish, Tuna Hunter is not kidding when he says this guy will put you on the FISH!!! We slammed big Boston Bluefin Tuna w/ Chuck and Tim while other boats were trolling around watching us catch fish. Don't F up, cause you'll get an earfull, but if you don't catch fish, there is only one person to blame, and it ain't the boat captain or mate. Look forward to fishing with Chuck again next season.
