capt dan found this report in craiglist the other day.
"Ive received 3 reports from friends that they caught dozens of stripers behind the paper plant in the last
couple of days, where the warm water discharges are. I checked it out with my boat yesterday and caught
9 stripers myself my partner caught 4-- I never saw fish this early in the river, they must be coming into
the farmington river also. I plan to be back there saturday morning--see you there.

they must be talking of the overwintering stripers(schoolies)...either way...COOL!!!!!!!!!!!
