Fall LIS Reports (Other than Surf & Winches..)

Any reports that don't go in Surf's Up or Winches and Broomsticks, this is the place. Columbus Day weekend '09 is not one I'll soon forget. After landing 2 200+ bluefin w/ Tuna Hunter and Charles (the larger being cut away after missing the 73" commercial min., having filled our charter quota in the 47-73 slot) and a 100+, I finished the weekend with a marathon day on the boat Monday. 4:30am on the water, took out just after 2:00pm. Hit stripers in two locations just before sunrise. Fishing the rocks on the west side of Millstone w/ a bucktail, and by the outflow w/ an eel. Continued up to Harkeness w/out any luck. Caught a third just around keeper size off of Crescent Beach w/ tube and worm. Ran back in as we approached low tide to grab some gear and so I didn't have to hang my ass over the stern. Went up around Black Point, where the bottom fisherman were out in force. Ran around the point to Long Ledge and Black Bouys where the blue massacre was on. The bay was full of bait and schools of blues were all over the place. I eventually just dropped anchor, put out some chum said "Come to Papa." Finally realized I had to pick up my kids, so I reluctantly called it a day.
